4th day of hunger strike.
In Gaza, people are still under the launch of missiles and grenades from the Israeli troops. Instead we are still under the launch of the absurd statements of the Israeli politicians. For this reason, as the Palestinians are resisting in Gaza, we must resist against them by force of our thoughts. Israeli President, Shimon Peres, this morning said: "We are not looking for a cease-fire but for the cessation of terrorism". But please, someone wants to explain to him that "terrorism" is a strategy of war and not a race or a tribe or a people or a religion? On the contrary, "terrorism" is precisely the strategy of war that the army of the country of which he is president is putting in place. But probably he already knows it. Therefore, President, do not mistake to fool us with the flag of "terrorism", we have eyes to see and heads to understand.
Israeli Minister for social welfare Yitzhak Herzog went even further. He said: "The pictures arrived yesterday from the school of UNRWA (the UN agency for Palestinian refugees) in Jabalya, are expected to accelerate the diplomatic process for the suspension of hostilities between Israel and Hamas". But it was not to destroy locations of the missiles of Hamas the aim of Israel? Was not to overthrow Hamas its-self? If this is the measure, then Israel must say now the number of dead Palestinian children needed to end the operations, must say now just how much is its thirst for blood. Or rather the untold goal of Israel is to shock the world and send a clear signal to the world before the change of guard at the American presidency? If this is the goal, then a base of Hamas in Gaza may be safer than a school, especially if it is an UN school. I think that Mr. Herzog has been very clear.
But today I want to tell you about 2 other mind guerrillas. The first is called Ahmet Faruk Keceli, lives in Bafra, a city on the Turkish Black Sea, and is now on hunger strike after he joined the "Chain Hunger Strike for Gaza" action. The campaign is receiving accessions and tomorrow should be set a press conference.
The second mind guerrilla is called Lobna, she is a Palestinian and lives here in Istanbul. She also has joined the campaign and soon will begin her hunger strike. In the meantime, she wrote a few lines that I would like to publish:

What bothers me the most is that, thanks to Hamas, the Palestinian issue is being now considered as an Islamist issue. It has never been about Islam. Palestinians are not all muslims. Palestinian role models is Che Guveara not Khumayini. And that is our main idea. We want people to understand us through contemporary art, not religion. Myself, I'm an athiest, ans so are many other Paletistians among the 4 million living in exile. We need the world to understand that it is about people not religion. It's about freedom and peace not jihad and war>>.
