So, here we are. Starting from now, and who knows untill when and how, I will write this web diary (some people call it blog) in English language (while the contents of the website will remain for now in Italian). Why this. First of all, I must say that English is not my own language and I never lived in any English speaking country. It means something. It means that I will make mistakes (for sure) and I will write in a poorer language than the one I am used to think and write, my own: Italian.
But the reasons that lead me to take this decision are even stronger. By the way, I am living in Turkey, and as I still don't speak the Turkish language, in my friendly and working environment, I still speak English. So, let's say it is now my current language.
But the main reason that pushes me to this decision is the reality we are facing, day by day, and that in these sad days we are facing more than ever. A reality that terribly calls us to build something together as many as possible. And the English language, in this moment, it's nothing more than a communicative tool.
I have to say, besides this, that I, as Italian living in Turkey, feel as a defeat and humiliation that the only way to understand each other is to speak the language of the Empire. But very probably it always happened like this in the History. We will learn Turkish, French, Arabic, Spanish, Serbian, German, Greek, or one day we will simply speak the Esperanto. And as many language we will speak as much we will know each other. But one step must be done soon and, at the moment, we can only make it in English language (but nothing prevents me from writing also in Spanish, or in Italian or other languages). And that's it.

Come Italiano che vive in Turchia, sento come una sconfitta e un'umiliazione che l'unico modo per capirsi sia scrivere in Inglese, ossia nella lingua dell'Impero. Ma molto probabilmente è sempre avvenuto così nella Storia. Impareremo il Turco, il Francese, l'Arabo, lo Spagnolo, il Serbo, il Tedesco, il Greco, e magari un giorno parleremo semplicemente l'Esperanto.
