Hunger strike for Gaza --- January - 03 - 2009 - ISTANBUL (TURKEY)

While I am writing, it seems that the Israeli ground attack is beginning. I am listening to Radio Onda d'Urto in streaming (for the Italian speaking ones), they are right now on the phone with Vittorio Arrigoni, the only Italian citizen in this moment in the Gaza strip. The Jabaliya mosque has been bombed 1 hour ago and 15 people have died.
I announce that starting from this moment I am on hunger strike, untill the Israeli troops will leave the Gaza strip (anybody will join me I will put the name on the website in the next posts).

It's urgent once forever to define what we mean when we say "terrorism". If now the press releases of the Israel Government, followed word by word and broadcasted by the international mainstream, call Hamas as a terroristic group, so we must define once forever what we mean when we say "terrorism". I can't forget what Hamas' policy and thoughts on the Palestinian society are, I just want to say that I can't support them as a political party.
But if terrorism is to live in a strip under hard embargo by 2 years, with ridicoulous weapons and no international media support except for the little independent ones, under heavy bombings for days (and more than 4 hundreds people killed) without any kind of defense just in wait to be massacred by the more powerful army in Middle East, so I would like to be a terrorist as well now, because if there's a side I can choose now, this one is my side.
But the truth lies under the sand, once more. Nobody sees it, just a few try to find it. While justice has already been lost under that sand and probably none could find it or call it back. Yes, those in the Israeli Government must be brought to an international court and judged as war criminals. And they must take their responsability in front of the History and in front of their people and their citizens that allowed them to lead Israel. Nothing more to say by now, the radio is always tuned live with Gaza as well as the website pages. My heart is suffering but must continue to dream of a different world. But it's hard...
